Creative industries and innovation are very unexplored theme in our practice, but very popular in the EU, particularly in countries where the creative industries are in the higher stages of their development. On September 24, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Serbia organized a round table in cooperation with the European Commission Directorate-industry.
The aim of this meeting was to exchange experiences on possible cooperation and insight into the creative industries in Austria and Serbia. Executive Director of GKE, mr Hristina Mikić presented the state of creative economy in Serbia, project activities of Creative Serbia, as well as the potential of creative industries, but also weaknesses that are necessary to minimize as creative industries are a strong potential for Serbia.
The round table “Innovation policy for the Western Balkans and Turkey” was attended by Dr. Gertraud Leimüller president of the Centre of Excellence for Creative Economy Austria (Kreativwirtschaft Austria), Daniel Sturzebecher head of the program of international clusters MFG Baden-Württemberg – the National Innovation Agency for ICT and Media and Heike Fischer, project manager Institute Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum, from members of Serbia Creative Economy Group (CEO mr Hristina Mikić) Design incubator NOVA ISKRA (Marko Radenković), IT cluster (Milan Solaja), Creative industries cluster (Tatjana Kalezić) Click modeling agency (Nenad Radujevic), Belgrade Design Week (Vesna Jelovac, Milica Novković) Balkankult Foundation (Dimitrije Vujadinović), Ideas & Innovations (Branislav Savić), Serbian film Association (Ana Ilić, Milica Bozanic).
