The 21st of May marks the UNESCO Day of Cultural Diversity. That occasion was used by Hristina Mikić, director of Creative Economy Group and Ivan Petković of the Regional Development Agency JUG to present the project “Creative Cities Serbia” as an example of good practice as the project was supported by the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity.
Consultative meeting was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information Republic of Serbia and Institute for research in cultural development regarding the UNESCO Day of Cultural Diversity. Presentation about UNESCO Fund and its concourse, evaluation process were given by Ivana Zečević, Ministry of Culture and Bojana Subašić, Institute for research in cultural development. The aim of the presentation is to familiarize interested parties with UNESCO Fund application conditions, and also share the experience of one successful project that received UNESCO support. Meeting participants had the opportunity to acquire information regarding the project, its important elements, and also receive inputs by the Ministry of Culture Commision which did the pre-selection of projects for UNESCO Fund for Cultural Diversity in 2015. Potential applicants and others that wanted to apply in the following year had the chance to get acquainted with the pre-selection process and work of the national project commission.
