The aim of the project is to identify necessary standards and processes that could provide more successful inclusion of Roma civil organizations in production of public policies for development of culture and cultural industries and defining guidelines for valorization of Roma creativity as a mean for their strengthening and repositioning within the local community.
The project activities are:
– Development of a multidisciplinary methodology, mapping and valorization of Roma creative individuals and cultural industries on the territory of Pirot municipality, production of a directory and archive of Roma cultural industries;
– Anthropological and economic analysis of creative potential of this ethnic community living on the territory of the municipality of Pirot;
– Organization of focus groups, participatory meetings with Roma civil organizations and representatives of Roma creative sector in defining programs and measures that could influence strengthening of Roma population through creative entrepreneurship and their better repositioning in the local community;
– Production “Guidelines for inclusion of Roma civil organizations in the production of public policies for development of culture and cultural industries”, standards and acts that provide the sensitivity of cultural and identity factors of the Roma population.
